Helmut Veith Stipend for Female Master’s Students in Computer Science

Female students with a strong interest or background in computer science are invited to apply for the Helmut Veith Stipend, awarded annually in memory of Professor Helmut Veith (1971–2016) — a renowned researcher in logic in computer science, formal verification, software engineering, and computer security.

Eligibility

  • Identify as female
  • Be eligible for admission to one of the English-taught Master’s programs in Computer Science at TU Wien
  • Possess (or be willing to develop) a strong mathematical and technical foundation in at least one of Prof. Veith’s fields of work

  • Master in Data Science
  • Master in Business Informatics
  • Master in Logic and Computation
  • Master in Media and Human-Centered Computing
  • Master in Software Engineering & Internet Computing
  • Master in Computer Engineering (Technische Informatik)

Benefits

  • EUR 7,000 per year
  • Full waiver of TU Wien tuition fees

Location

Study takes place at TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology) in Austria.

Application Process

Applications for the stipend may be submitted before or during the TU Wien admission process. However, funding will only be awarded to students who receive unconditional admission to an eligible Master's program.

Note: Applying for the stipend does not substitute for the TU Wien admissions process, and a conditional stipend offer does not guarantee admission.
