The Office of the Chief Conservator of Forests, Mangroves, Sindh, Karachi is inviting applications from suitable candidates for recruitment against various positions in the GIS Lab Karachi for the project period under the Development Project “Institutional Strengthening for Sustainable Forest Management in Sindh” on a contract basis.
Vacant Positions:
- Surveyor (GIS) (BS-16)
- No. of Posts: 2
- Qualification & Experience: Preferably diploma or certification in GIS/Remote Sensing from a reputable institute/ B.Sc. B.Com.
- Proficiency in GIS and Remote Sensing software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine, and Agisoft Metashape.
- Hands-on experience in GIS-based field surveys, data collection, and spatial analysis.
- Knowledge of UAV/drone operations and image processing will be considered an added advantage.
- Strong skills in data management, mapping, and report preparation.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in GIS-based survey or forestry/ environmental projects preferred.
